Interviews

I’ve been lucky enough to film interviews with everybody from Richard Branson to subsistence farmers in Bougainville, I treat them all with the same level of care and respect, a large camera in your face can be intimidating for anyone and I try to make my subjects as comfortable as possible.

Video case studies

To say this has been my bread and butter for the best part of a decade would be an understatement. A really useful way for people to get their story across in a small window of time. I’ve shot some really powerful examples for the likes of Cancer Council and Breast Cancer Trials, you can shoot a great piece in under 3 hours so has minimal impact on your subjects day to day.

Social Media Content

One of the greatest parts of social media content from a production side is you can really get a lot of bang for your buck. You can create a lot of content out of one shoot, 10 second clips, 30 second clips, 1 minute stories and use them over and over again over multiple platforms. Captions are key!

Multi Cam Interviews

Shooting with two cameras allows us to not only jump between different angles for visual interest but really tighten up a statement and edit out unwanted words whilst remaining on the subject. Also really useful when time is at a premium and there’s not a lot of additional footage to cover cuts.

Autocue Statements

Autocues are great when you have a lot of detail you need to remember, are short on time or simply want to concentrate on your delivery. Simply send me your script, we can make changes on the fly and you’re done in record time.

Training/instructional videos

Don’t tell it, show it. I think it’s really important to think where and who is watching these videos, I recently made a video for an eco hot water system installation guide and whilst hardly the most exciting of videos, it was interesting to always be thinking a plumber is watching this in the rain down the side of a house. No audio, text pointers, chapters, clean and simple.

Events

If it’s not recorded did it even happen? Whether its a 2 hour lecture or a 2 day event an event video not only allows you to remember the good times but also is a great opportunity to interview all the interesting people that came along.

International Video Production

I’ve been lucky enough to film all over the world, whether it’s part of a huge TV production like The Amazing Race around the world, corporate videos in Tanzania, Brazil and Papua New Guinea or covering coups in Fiji. I’m well versed in the logistics of carnets and never afraid to get my feet wet in challenging locations
